Beside his study of economics & business administration in Vienna (Member of the Center of Excellence),  Dr. Hummel finished a PhD on the deregulation of the European electricity industry and the entrepreneurial MBA at the University of Oxford.

After board assistence positions at the Austrian power producer Verbundgesellschaft and BA/CA Futures AG self-employed from 2000 with his company Oxford Consult (in Oxford and London) with strict specialisation on the energy and finance sector. With a select group of experts, projects with the international Who is Who of the energy industry (Shell, BG and Statoil and regulatory agencies among many others).

Additionally, Dr. Hummel specialised in accompanying dynamically growing companies in the energy sector. Among others, he took a share in enerbility software Gmbh (energy trading, Vienna) in 2005 and became director in 2006 with a successful exit to the US-based energy software company Triple Point Technology in 2009.

In 2012, Dr. Hummel additionally started up Oxford Energy as sister company of Oxford Consult after nearly 20 years of energy sector experience.

Additionally co-author of the book „Venture Capital und Boersengaenge“ (Manz-Verlag) and lecturing at Donau-Universitaet Krems, Bfi and Wifi.

Dr. Hutter studied Economics at Karl-Franzens University of Graz. After graduation he also embarked on a PhD on talc mining. This PhD was accompanied by an accounting & controlling position in the Luzenac Naintsch Mineralwerke GmbH.

As shareholder in gas-alive Energie und Dienstleistungen GmbH, he contributed to the build up of the first consultancy company for gas consuming industrial companies in Austria. After the sale of a majority stake of  gas-alive to Steirische Gas-Wärme GmbH (Energie Steiermark today), Dr. Hutter accepted a position in this entity to participate in a number of natural gas sales projects in Austria and on an international level.

Dr. Hutter has since established several additional energy sales- and -trading companies with a focus on natural gas and renewables and has also taken part in a number of real estate development projects.

At Oxford Energy, the focus of Dr. Hutter lies in energy cost consulting (gas & power) for SMEs and industrial companies.

MMag. Babuder Hummel was born in Ljubljana, Slovenia. After her move to Vienna in 1990, she gained masters degrees from Vienna University of Music as well as the Vienna University for Business Administration.

MMag. Babuder Hummel held a researcher position at the Vienna University of Business Administration at the Institute for Eastern- and Central European Business Law, which included several publications.

She has more than 10 years of experience in tax / business consultancy with one of the Big 4 consultancy firms and has been a member of the Austrian Chamber of Tax Advisors and Auditors since 2009.

KR Ing. Otto Musilek
Senior Executive Advisor

Mr. Musilek attended the technical institution of higher education in the field of electro-technology. He started to work for the natural gas division of OMV in 1976 and was entrusted with the development of the natural gas business in different leading positions. Additionally, he was project manager of the Working Group of the West-Austria-Gas Pipeline from 1976 to 1980.

Since 1997 Mr. Musilek had been the head of natural gas division and from 2001 to 2007 Managing Director of OMV Gas GmbH. Furthermore, he has held numerous additional international positions, among others

- Vice President of the Austrian Committee of WEC (World Energy Council)

- Austrian Representative of IGU (International Gas Union / Council and Executive Committee)

- Representative of EUROGAS

- Board Member of GIE (Gas Infrastructure Europe)

- Executive Board Member of GTE (Gas Transmission Europe)

Nicola Baldina has an Engineering background having obtained his University Master Graduation on Electronic Engineering from University of Padova in Italy.

He spent the first 15 years of his career in the Telecommunications industry working for a major multinational corporation and developing a broad Sales & Marketing experience in the BtoB area. He was involved in the biggest mobile telecommunication projects in South European countries with a focus on Italy.

Since 2009, Nicola moved in the Energy business after having achieved an MBA in “Green and Sustainable Energy” from University e-Campus.

Initially he developed a strong understanding of the Renewable Energy business, mainly focused on PV and Wind, working with leading EPC companies in Italy (Enerqos, Leitner Solar) and closing multimillion Euro deals with International Investments funds and with Companies willing to invest directly in renewable business.

In 2013 he joined EnergyQuote JHA (later acquired by Accenture) as a Senior Consultant to develop the Energy Consulting business with Italian Corporates and to follow existing international accounts in Italy.

During this period Nicola has deepened his knowledge of Energy Markets Legislation and Regulatory topics, always supporting companies to develop a strategic approach to Energy in order to take advantage of opportunities and avoid unnecessary risks.

He has also been involved also in shaping, selling and supporting a number of Energy Efficiency projects for international clients.

His ultimate goal is to identify the best solutions fitting clients needs, fully integrating latest technologies (IoT, Analytics, Cloud Data) with his extensive knowledge of Energy Markets and of Energy Regulatory and Legislative aspects.

Mag. Julinek has studied business administration at Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien and University of Surrey, UK.

Over a period of 11 years he served in Bank Austria in Austria and outside its home market. In the underwriting business, he led refinancing projects of Bank Austria on the Eurobond market and accompanied the introduction of the Länderbank AG share at Paris stock exchange. Subsequently, Mag. Julinek accompanied various privatisation projects of the Republic of Austria, such as the IPO for Voest Alpine Eisenbahnsysteme. He has also signed responsible in international project financing, managing energy and real estate projects over a period of four years in Europe and Far East. Mag. Julinek is also experienced in co-financing projects with the International Finance Corporation (World Bank), the European Investment Bank (EIB) and the EBRD. Eventually, he oversaw the restructuring of ailing Bank Austria loans.

In 1999, he accepted to lead the ‚Treasury and Financing Department’ of Autobahn und Schnellstraßen Finanzierung AG (ASFINAG). He signed responsible for a volume of €10 bn of international bank and bond debts in various currencies with a financial result of €400 mln. Mag. Julinek developed a risk management system for the cntroling of interest- and currency risk of ASFINAG, and a strategic controling model for sections of the Austrian motorway network. His model was taken as basis for the calculations of the first PPP-model for motorway construction in Austria (A5 Nord-Autobahn).

Recently, Mag. Julinek signed responsible for the marketing of a German consulting company specialised in banking and insurance advisory.

Energy Security & Climate Change Expert

Massimiliano Rocco holds a master degree in Economics and international Studies from the University of Trieste Italy.

In the last 12 years, he lived abroad in Asia and Europe. He worked in Beijing, China as a project manager for an Italian company operating in the oil and gas energy technology sector. He prepared and coordinated the first tender project of the Sichuan-Shanghai gas pipeline and implemented the company head office including a joint venture plan and strategy coordination with the Chinese energy companies CNOOC and SINOPEC. 

In 2009, Massimiliano attended a Master in Public Affairs at Instituts d’études politiques, Sciences-Po University in Paris to major in Energy Management and Economics. During this time he collaborated with the European Climate Foundation in drafting the Institute roadmaps of de-carbonization strategy and developed an EU approach to low-carbon emissions policies.

Since 2011 he has been working in Consulting and for a Non-Profit company on energy security and climate change issues related to public affairs.

DI Cosmin Capra, EMBA
Senior Energy Expert

Mr. Capra has successfully completed the technical university of Cluj-Napoca/Klausenburg in Romania with the focus on electronics & telekommunications. Additionally, he did the Executive MBA of Vienna University of Economics / Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien.

After managerial activities for HCS GmbH and RomTelecom, Mr. Capra has built up the new ‘Location Romania’ for Holzindustrie Schweighofer between 2003 and 2011. This included the management of a € 70 Mio. investment, from Green-Field to € 350 Mio. turnover and 2,000 employees. Consequently, the company was awarded the “International Investment of the Year 2004“-prize of the OECD.

Subsequently, Mr. Capra has been active as energy and steel production expert. Among others, he has managed the build up of the first CHP biomass plant on Romanian soil (16 MWel.) and additionally the construction of a 30 MWel. biomass plant in Romania. Additionally, Mr. Capra has been responsibe for ‘Steel Degassing’-projects in the Ukraine and Turkey.

Furthermore, he is has a trader’s license for OPCOM Bukarest (Romanian Energy Exchange) and EXAA Wien (Energy Exchange Austria). Mr. Capra is managing energy projects for Oxford Energy in Eastern Europe with a special focus on Romania.

Prof.h.c.Dr.Ing. Michael Kouba
Oil/Gas & Renewable Project Manager

Dr. Kouba graduated from Vienna University of Economics and received the Prof. hc. from the public oil- and gas university of the Russian Federation in Ufa.

He has been active as managing director of an asset/plant construction company in the oil & gas sector in Central- and Eastern Europe as well as in the Arabic Region for nearly two decades. His tasks centered around industrial development, investment and marketing.

In the wake of the transformation porcess in GUS nations, Dr. Kouba has been advising the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and in this capacity he has administered over 300 industrial projects in the areas of manufacturing, conversion to civil industries and high tech developments in GUS member states.

Dr. Kouba is currently primarily active as project manager for plant construction in the oil & gas sector involving new technologies as well as in the area of renewables.

Thomas Binder
Energy Project Manager

Mr. Binder has a longterm IT project, sales and marketing background. From the mid-1990s he has been working for a number of IT project and wholesale operations. After his position with ProNet he joined the American wholesaler Avnet Technology Solutions, where he stayed from 2002 to 2012. Additionally, in 2012 Mr. Binder successfully passed an energy consultancy training course.

His experience predominantly lies in project economics, managing many large customers in almost two decades. Additionally, Mr. Binder did a lot of cost optimisation for service sector companies, in this area he supports the energy efficiency work of Oxford Energy both from a legal contractual and a business process angle.

After his Computer Science study at Johannes Kepler Universität Linz, Mr. Hausleitner supported various software start-up companies IT-strategy- and operations-wise with numerous innovative software product solutions.

In 2004, Mr. Hausleitner was one of the founding members of enerbility software GmbH (automation software for energy trading deal confirmations), and from 2006 until the trade sale to the US-software company Triple Point Technology in 2009 also technical director. As key person, he stayed with enerbility until July 2011.

As software architect and software developer, Mr. Hausleitner is working with the software-technologies and concepts Java, Groovy, J2EE, XML, Spring, Hibernate, ebXML, BPEL, Web-Security, Webservices, noSQL, TDD, AOP, OOAD.

Robert Schneider is General Partner of SchneideR'S Rechtsanwalts-KG (Attorney-at-law LLP), which he founded in 2003, and supports Oxford Energy in (energy) legal issues. 

He is a qualified tax consultant, auditor and licensed attorney. Robert has more than 30 years of professional experience, including 20 years as a lawyer. 

His practice includes in particular energy, corporate and commercial law as well as tax law. His clients are national and international companies and business people as well as private individuals.

Robert Schneider has written numerous articles on corporate, tax and energy law in national and international journals. He is a member of the Vienna Bar Association, the Chamber of Tax Consultants and Auditors and the International Fiscal Association.

 

He studied at the University of Vienna, where he received a Master of Law and a doctorate, and at the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration, where he received a Master of Business Administration.  He speaks German, English and Russian.
